In many respects there’s a great crossover here. The trich is brought on by stress, so the whole stress reduction aspect is similar to smoking. But here’s where I have the problem; how do I give the command not to do the thing itself.
It’s not okay to say ‘you don’t smoke cigarettes anymore’
So instead I may say ‘you’re a non-smoker now’
The problem is how do I rephrase ‘you dont rub your eyebrows any more’?
Could I say ‘you’re not an eyebrow rubber’
‘you don’t have trich anymore’
Obviously it can’t be ‘you don’t touch your eyebrows anymore’ as for a woman, this isn’t feasible.
It’s very difficult to give the instruction to stop, without mentioning the activity. With smoking, I can easily get around this by referring the person as being a ‘non-smoker’ in the present.
Would be very grateful for your help.
Thanks
