Could Controls Over Hypnosis Be Coming to the UK?

So, recently the BBC reported on a report that says hypnosis should be offered as a standard trearment by doctors on the National Health Service.

BBC News – NHS should offer hypnosis as standard says new report

Sounds good: the medical profession recognising hypnosis as a way to assist patients.

However, with this story comes overtones that maybe only the medical establishment should be allowed to use hypnosis.

Now, this isn’t meant to be one of those scare-story posts. I hate those. I see no immediate threat. Even so, I read this and thought: maybe this is an early sign of something we ought to watch. Maybe it won’t go anyplace, maybe it will.

Any thoughts?
