Mind Mirrors?

Hello,

I’ve read a bunch about these "mind mirrors" (I guess some form of EEG device), which folks use to measure brainwave patterns and the likes. I’m pretty interested in playing around with one, and watching myself think, etc. Are these extremely expensive devices that you can only have access to if you find a clinic that lets you use it for a bit, or are they actually quite affordable (low hundreds)? If I search for biofeedback on amazon, all I can see is stuff aimed specifically at stress, while I’d be more interested in looking at actual brainwaves. :)

Is this something easy to get to do, or would it require breaking the bank, so to speak?

cheers
