NLP in Manchester

Despite having been on this forum for about 5 years, I don’t think I ever got round to introducing myself. So here goes – I’m Andy Smith, an NLP trainer based in Manchester. I run the Manchester Business NLP and Emotional Intelligence Group, and I started the Richmond NLP Group in 1996 with Nick Driscoll (as far as I know it’s still going strong today, organised by Henrietta Laitt). Check out the group’s upcoming programme here – all welcome, and no prior knowledge of NLP or EI needed!

I stopped running open NLP Practitioner courses last year, but still do shorter in-house courses for corporates.

I am the author of Achieve Your Goals: Strategies For Transforming Your Life (Dorling Kindersley 2006) which is strongly NLP-based, and at this time has only 5-star reviews on Amazon.

These days I am doing a lot of Appreciative Inquiry (AI), a method of organisational and personal change based on looking at what’s working, rather than looking for problems and trying to fix it. It’s compatible with NLP, but doesn’t demand quite the same level of sensory acuity to get results.

I do run open courses in AI, mostly in Manchester – details here.

Finally, an offer for NLP Connections members which could interest you if you run open courses yourself – a whopping 50% off the Open Course Profit Calculator (a spreadsheet which allows you to see at a glance how many course participants you need to break even, what the effect would be of varying the course fee, that kind of thing… just go to the online store page, buy it, and use the coupon code ‘connections’ when you check out.

The code only lasts until 31st October so do it now!
