What NLP Technique to Use?

I have a friend who walks faster than normal people in my island. Lately he’s been suffering from stomach ulcer, and because of this he needs to walk slower like a normal people here.
But he always forgets to walk slowly. When someone reminds him, and as he realizes he’s been walking fast, then he will slow down. Until he forgets again, and feel pain in his stomach.

So, is it possible to change his habit to walk slowly? Since I am a newbie, I am not really confident to try anything. Should I try the swish pattern? Or the disassociation technique?
